Last of Summers Bloom

A lovely spot of colour on a grey day

From our place in the world, March heralded the start of Autumn or as it’s known in other parts of the world, Fall.

I was cheered to gather the last of my Dad’s roses from my garden to brighten our home on a cold and overcast day.

And yes, they smell as good as they look, colour and fragrance a stunning combination.

Enjoy!

New Years Resolution

Well hello there, so much has happened in the past 12 months I’m really not sure were to begin so I will start with why I have been absent from my blog for so long.

At the beginning of 2012 I had decided that I would start posting on a regular basis, however when I discovered a lump in my breast in February last year, I had no idea the direction my life would take.  By March I had been diagnosed with breast cancer and had undergone a mastectomy followed by five months of chemotherapy and finally 25 sessions of radiotherapy.  Ironically it was treatment for breast cancer

which caused me to feel unwell prior to my diagnosis I was well and now that I have finished treatment I am feeling fantastic.  I truly believe that treatment has been successful!

So long for now and we’ll catch up again real soon okay!
