Most Kiwi’s and Aussies know what the first Tuesday in November means it’s Melbourne Cup Day, the race that ‘stops the nation’.  Synonymous with the race are the roses which are at their peak at Flemington Racecourse and in an omage to the day I’ve picked a rose growing in my friends garden.  The scent is divine and the colour strong and bold  image

Road Closure

Road Closure

The rebuild of Christchurch continues post 22 February 2011 earthquake and we’ve become used to road closures, detours and long delays as ongoing repairs are made to the underground infrastructure.

When I saw this sign I thought it was a rather unique reason for a street closure as our city plays host to two high profile visitors tomorrow with the visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Just quietly I was relieved to think the royal visitors wouldn’t have an  impact on my commute to work, as traffic delays have become the bain of our lives in Canterbury!

New Year 2013 – New Post

Well HELlo, been way too loooong since I was here (had to reset my password loooong)!

Do I catch up on the past 12 months, the good, the bad and the ugly,  or just start from this moment on?  Honestly, I prefer option 2, the New Year seems like a time of renewal and new hope.  Yes that feels right so this is the beginning once again!

So Welcome to my blog.   I am looking forward to the footprints I may make this year, anything is possible and the future is unknown so I am looking forward to a few surprises.  I have a major decision to make, get a new job or commit to studying full-time??? What to do?? Who knows, lets find out together.
